Reports To: Facilities Manager

Position Summary:

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all outdoor and assigned indoor areas throughout the property. This team member helps to ensure a welcoming environment for guests, residents, and staff by performing essential groundskeeping and general maintenance duties.

Key Groundskeeping Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, litter-free grounds by regularly raking leaves, collecting trash, and emptying waste bins.
• Rake gravel on the driveway and main pathways to ensure neatness and proper surface maintenance.
• Cut grass and maintain lawn areas as needed.
• Spray grounds to control mosquitoes and manage growth of grass and weeds.
• Care for gardens by cleaning, weeding, planting, and watering as directed.
• Sweep and mop assigned buildings, including gyms and shared spaces, to maintain a tidy environment.
• Clean and service poolside and gym areas, including trash removal.
• Assist with other maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as assigned by management.

Groundskeeper Job Requirements

• Responsible, dependable, and honest work approach.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a diverse team.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance preferred.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to company procedures and varied work assignments.
• Basic proficiency in English; bilingual language skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements for Landscaping & Groundskeeping

• Ability to lift and carry light to moderate weights (up to40 lbs.) safely.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods each day.

Groundskeeper Work Schedule and Compensation

• Up to45 hours per week with schedule flexibility.
• Overtime compensation for hours exceeding45 per week.
• Holiday pay in accordance with Belize labor laws.
• Pay: $300 BZD per week, paid bi-weekly.
