Location: Grand Balisi Hotel, West San Pedro, Belize
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Job: We are looking for a hard-working and reliable person to help take care of our hotel, a 20-unit over-the-water property.
You will help keep the hotel clean, safe, and working well, and you must be comfortable working outside most of the time.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES
Pool Maintenance:
Clean the pool every day (remove leaves, brush, vacuum).
Check pool water and add chemicals when needed.
Keep the pool area clean and safe.
Garden & Outdoor Work:
Water plants and trees
Cut and trim plants
Pick up trash and keep the area clean.
Repairs & Maintenance:
Check rooms and hotel areas for problems.
Fix small problems (water, lights, wood, doors, etc.).
Tell your manager about big problems.
Help take care of docks and walkways.
Keep tools clean and in good condition.
Cleaning Help:
Help clean the hotel when needed.
Take out trash.
Help the housekeeping team when needed.
What We Need From You:
Some experience in maintenance, yard work, or hotel work is preferred.
You know basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, fixing things).
You can work outside in sun, rain, and heat.
You are physically strong (can lift, bend, and stand for long time).
You pay attention to small details and can fix problems.
You are reliable, on time, and work well with others.
Extra Skills (Good to Have):
Know how to take care of a pool and pool system.
Understand how to care for buildings near the sea (salt air, wood damage).
Have worked with solar panels, A/C units, or water systems.
Know basic safety rules and how to work safely.
Can work with different teams (housekeeping, front desk, etc.).
Can manage your own tasks and stay organized.
Work Schedule:
5–6 days per week (including weekends/holidays as needed).
