Part-Time Remote Accounting Assistant (Temporary – 90 Days)

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Accounting Assistant to support our finance team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with routine accounting tasks in a fully digital environment.
This role is suited for someone who is organized, communicative, and comfortable working independently with clear guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Basic General Ledger Support: Assist with reviewing transactions and ensuring proper categorization. Flag discrepancies for review by senior team members.
Digital Record Keeping: Organize and maintain digital financial documents (receipts, invoices, contracts) in a structured cloud-based system.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistance:
Enter and track invoices in accounting software
Respond to basic vendor or client inquiries
Help monitor outstanding balances
Reconciliations: Assist in preparing bank and credit card reconciliations for review.
REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Quiet and reliable workspace.
Stable high-speed internet connection.
Familiarity with cloud-based tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal) is a must.
Comfortable working asynchronously and managing daily tasks independently.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: Background in accounting, finance, or business (degree not required but preferred)
Experience: 1+ year of bookkeeping or administrative/accounting support experience
Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate Excel (e.g., sorting, simple formulas) and familiarity with cloud-based tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Work Style: Organized, dependable, and able to follow structured processes.
COMPENSATION:
Monthly Pay: $600 USD
